Everyone is talking about it, a lot of people are worrying about it but how can we utilise AI to support businesses without feeling like it is taking over?
AI, or Artificial Intelligence is not a new phenomenon, it has just become more readily available to everyone in recent times. This has meant businesses have been experimenting with elements to support their businesses.
The worry for a lot of people in the marketing and creative industries is that it will remove the need for their roles – but here at Micca Marketing, we don’t think that will be the case.
What do we want from AI?
If we look at AI as a supporting tool one that can support your business growth, then you see it more as an assistant. You could ask it to write you a business plan but then you won’t have the knowledge that comes with writing that plan – audience segmentation, competitor research, business development, advertising routes, products to market, developing your ideas as you see them on the page.
Starting a business is a process, one that requires a human touch, not one you can rely totally on AI.
You could ask AI to create a multi-advert campaign, give it some content and hope for the best. But more often than not, the time you take going back and forth with AI to get the advert right, you could have hired a designer to complete and you could have an actual conversation with someone who takes on your branding correctly the first time!
Best Uses of AI for Small Business Marketing
Here are a few ways to use AI effectively:
- Proofread articles for grammar and punctuation.
- Generate blog title ideas relevant to your industry.
- Create basic social media graphics to support your campaigns.
AI in marketing is a powerful tool when used correctly. Think of it as your digital assistant—just like the old paperclip in Microsoft Word. It can support your workflow but can’t replace the human connection that drives business success.
